Software Engineering & Data
We develop the software architectures and components required to build advanced technologies for learning. Our work encompasses data processing and structuring, automation, graph-based technologies, analytical tools, simulation and software infrastructures.
Our approach builds on extensive experience in Software Engineering and complex information systems, now applied to the challenges of Educational Technology.
Cognitive Science & Learning
Cognitive science is a core area of our research. We focus in particular on learning mechanisms, memory, knowledge acquisition and individual differences in learning processes.
This research provides a bridge between theoretical models of learning and their translation into computational models that can be used by digital systems.

EdTech, AI & Adaptive Technologies
Our EdTech research explores the use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and modelling technologies to develop new tools for education and learning.
Our work focuses in particular on learning analytics, adaptive systems, personalised learning pathways and technologies capable of dynamically leveraging data generated throughout the learning process.
